This is very good news as the rules for crashing a wormhole are very simple, each wormhole lasts a certain amount of time, and you can possibly just wait until it dies naturally.
Alternatively, understanding that each wormhole is limited by the mass which It allows through you can work out with some simple maths...

When you get it wrong however, you end up stranded, in a strange wormhole and then the next logical thing is that you have to get out the only way possible...
and once your precious space ship is floating around as little particles of space dust, you are of course left with one small thing, its egg shaped, and we all love them... your pod.
